Emma and Rupert's Beautiful Birmingham Wedding
It’s always an honour and privilege to be part of a bride’s magical preparations for her wedding day. Sometimes we see snippets of fabric or maybe a photo on a mobile. So you can imagine our absolute delight when we receive photographs of the wedding day itself when everything comes together.
We were over the moon when Emma kindly emailed us a thank you note saying how pleased she was with her pearl and crystal wedding jewellery. “I just wanted to say thank you for my beautiful wedding jewellery - it went perfectly with my dress and was extremely comfortable to wear... I think that your service was excellent”.

Emma and Rupert met while studying at university. They were married at St Peter's Church in Harborne, Birmingham and then had their reception at Hornton Grange, which belongs to the University of Birmingham. Quite fitting as they both graduated from there.

Emma’s stunning lace wedding dress was made by Pronovias. Like many brides it was completely different in style to the one she thought she would choose but as soon as she tried the wedding dress on Emma knew it was ‘the one’. Not surprisingly she received loads of compliments on her wedding day with many guests thinking her dress had been made especially for her. So perfect was her wedding dress style that it didn’t need any alterations!

Her wedding dress was so stunning that it only needed minimal bridal jewellery and a simple wedding hair accessory. Emma wanted a soft, feminine and frothy tiara to compliment the lovely lace in her wedding dress. She fell in love with our Simply Moonlight bridal Tiara when we met her at the NEC, National Wedding Show.

The elegant tiara design was echoed in the matching moonlight pearl and crystal bridal bracelet Emma chose to wear with her lovely sleeveless dress. Her beautiful wedding day look was completed with an elegant pair of dainty moonlight pearl and crystal bridal drop earrings.

We asked Emma for any top wedding tips. She said her first would be not to get too stressed and panicky. “All the bridal magazines I read and other people I talked to said things like 'book your photographer 12-18 months before the wedding' etc. I think these timings need to be taken with a pinch of salt - I managed to get everything I wanted and I didn't do anything (even book the venue) until 11 months before the wedding”.

Emma’s other main tip is to be picky when choosing your photographer, “everything else will get forgotten but the photos last forever. You also want someone who is pleasant and with whom you feel comfortable so that you look your best in those photos. We were really lucky finding Alan Fernihough - he was recommended to me by a work colleague - and I would recommend him to anyone”.

As soon as we saw Emma and Rupert’s gorgeous wedding photographs we just had to ask for more details. We asked them in particular for their wedding day highlights. Emma says “the highlights of the day were the service itself, particularly walking down the aisle with my new husband at the end, our wedding breakfast, which was delicious even though one of the waitresses spilt Eton Mess down my dress! And also getting to our gorgeous hotel room at the end of the day - not too late and not too intoxicated - just the two of us. We were also lucky enough to spend a fabulous 10 days in St Lucia on honeymoon which was extremely relaxing and romantic”.

We think Emma looked truly radiant on her wedding day. Stunning and demure, Emma and Rupert make a perfect couple. Thank you so much to both of you for sharing your wonderful wedding day with us all. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
